Sharp Knife” by Third Eye Blind

Awe, yeah. Don’t call it a comeback.

Seriously, don’t. I wasn’t a fan of this album when I first heard it, but it’s growing on my slowly like a parasite. Or warts. I wasn’t sure if I just didn’t like it or I was comparing it to the self-titled album. To be fair, is there a better 90’s album than the Third Eye Blind self-titled album? I feel like the answer is no. So effortlessly cool and fun, but it had this longing to it that made it easily relatable. (My browser’s spellcheck is informing me that “relatable” is not a word.)

But I really should try to see this newest album, Ursa Major, as a separate entity. The band has had a little more than a decade to revolutionize their sound and change pretty much everything about themselves. I’ll give it a try.
