If you could be anyone right now, who would you be? If you didn’t pick yourself, why?

What did you waste to get to where you are now? Time? Talent?

How many bridges are engulfed in flames behind you?

“The Cave” by Mumford & Sons

This has gotta be the best song I’ve heard in a long time. Something about it makes me feel so worthless and so optimistic at the same time.

No Blood, No Foul” by With The Punches

areiss:

Listened to this probably 8 times in the car over the course of the past two days, which are appropriately highlighted by lots of highways and great pop punk. Doesn’t help that I dig the lyrics. I will write more later. Fuck the rain!

This is fantastic. I’m a big fan of this sound, but I’ve really been saving it in drafts (which is now 47 posts strong) until a really warm day. That’s when Pop-Punk shines, amiright?

YOU WON’T DRAG THIS LIFE FROM ME!

EDIT: When I threw this into my queue, it was perfectly sunny outside. Didn’t expect the rain.

I Was a Lid” by Manchester Orchestra

areiss:

While everyone’s shitting their pants over new Manchester Orchestra, here’s some old stuff. It tickles my shit. They know how to make songs that build epically without being obvious about it.

You Hipster, you. But you’re right. I’ve always loved how they build shit up. The subtle additions and changes in dynamics over time make Manchester Orchestra on of my permanent favorites.

And this makes two Manchester Orchestra songs in a row on Tumblr. I need to give it a rest.

Part of the Whole” by Kevin Devine

I know it’s been out for like half a year, but I just found this song, and I’m loving the shit out of it. It makes me even more excited for the new album. I didn’t think that was possible. Only one more week!!

Sorry for being absent for so long, by the way! More music is on its way.
